I worked at University of Nevada, Reno part-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Working on campus is great if you're a full-time student, and the university will work around your class schedule. You'll also get to experience a lot of different university departments.

Cons

Lots of bureaucracy, and with the budget cuts, positions aren't as prevalent as they used to be. Also, a lot of the managers are under extreme pressure and tend to take it out on the students - the very people who pay their salaries.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put the budget axe away and don't take things out on the students. Call the representatives in Carson City instead.
