I worked at University of Pennsylvania as an intern (less than an year)

Pros

- Great community and support from adviser and other students who were also performing research.
 - Excellent feedback for giving research presentations, and on the ideas itself, from adviser and other researchers.

Cons

- Not so much a con, but the location might be difficult for some to adjust to. You will most likely have to use public transit or lease an apartment close to campus. Fortunately, several students sublease during the period making finding a sublease fairly easy.

I have been working at University of Pennsylvania full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

They offer generous benefit packages for management level employees. Their matching retirement funding is a huge plus that is often over looked. The educational benefits for children and spouses (not for professional schools) keeps me from pursuing a private sector job.

    Cons

Difficult to actually schedule/take classes for myself while working full time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It is vital for management to communicate, face to face with staff, on a regular basis. It will greatly improve productivity and provide time to work out issues before they become an HR nightmare.
