I have been working at University of Phoenix full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Great training, experience, hours, pay...

Cons

Feels very unstable, some managers are WAY over the top with micromanaging, most people really don't feel good about what they are doing for students.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to get better students in the door and they will retain better!

    Pros

New facility and they finally updated computers.

    Cons

Micro managed, sales oriented job. Not what education should be.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep burning yourselves out for the billionaire owner. One day you will realize there is a better way.
Just educate and profits will follow.

    Pros

    UoP still has reasonable benefits.

    Cons

Management is obscenely out of touch and mis-leading with the general population of the company. No one seems to get raises or promotions except for the executive team. Many work in fear, each day, of being laid off. Executive management has instituted programs that de-motivate promotion and make it nearly impossible to establish and reasonable career.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen - REALLY LISTEN to the people who bring in the money and create the revenue.
