Pros

is a great place but the scattered department is fun. Also research labs are nice and people are fun loving

Cons

housing is a problem inside theuniversity campus, though u will get lot in the nearby suburbs of the town. Easy to get the same by communities.

    Pros

In my tenure at Pitt, the upper administration has been incredibly supportive. There is a decent amount of institutional funding available for research and department initiatives.

    Cons

Relative to other institutions of similar size, the salary (at least within the Fine Arts) is not very competitive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Within some offices, the rate of processing paperwork (tenure cases, new hires, ID cards, etc) could be vastly improved.
