I worked at University of Pittsburgh full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent Benefits, many diversified opportunities, had many great co-workers, if you have a great manager it makes all the difference.

    Cons

Parking is expensive if you work in Oakland so it is great if you can bus it to work. Lack of trained professional management in some departments, but having a professional, personable manager minimized cons.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your staff are what makes you successful - treat them with respect and professionalism and be honest with them and they will work hard for you and be loyal.
