    Cheap city to live in

    Cons

    Long working hours, no career advancement. Monotonous work. Basically you are at the whim of your boss who decides whether u can get your phd or not

    Stop recruiting grad students if you know that they cant find a job after graduation

    Pros

    Great opportunities for students to teach at an undergraduate level, especially through the math and computer science department.

    Cons

    Some professors are clearly better than others, and it can be not-so-great to be matched up with a bad one.
