I have been working at University of San Francisco part-time for less than a year

Pros

Relevant position that helped bolster my understanding of subject material.

Cons

Low pay -> but this also allows for more TAs in the various departments which I am okay with.
Only allowed to work a maximum of 20 hours a week, which can be an issue depending who you TA for and your responsibilities.

I worked at University of San Francisco part-time for less than a year

    Pros

There was a good work space. The people were very professional and well mannered. The environment is very independent, meaning that everyone takes care and worries about their work.

    Cons

If you enjoying knowing the people that you work with, this isn't the right job for you. There is also very minimal team work.

I have been working at University of San Francisco full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Lots of things to learn about running organizations, fundraising, strategies, events, interactions with people and all kinds of interesting interactions
    - Lots of experienced professors and staff who have real-world backgrounds in various disciplines
    - Descent benefits and salaries
    - Great location (although with the great location comes TERRIBLE parking)

    Cons

    - Highly, HIGHLY bureaucratic and hierarchical with limited opportunities to move up the ladder
    - Limited direct communication. Sometimes, its about mind-games, guessing, and finding out about information through gossip

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Reward professors and staff who are loved by students but are under-appreciated by management
    - Promote healthy and direct communication in the organization
