I have been working at University of Southern California full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Tuition assistance, Trojan network, mostly chill office environment (depends on the office--student support offices are more relaxed, fundraising offices are very corporate).

    Cons

Huge, slow-moving bureaucratic environment that can hinder one's personal success, and the overall success of the business. Yet such is the nature of non-profit institutions, and USC is no exception.

I have been working at University of Southern California as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

    Above average pay for adjuncts.

    Cons

Hiring a bunch of adjuncts instead of full employees seems to be the business model.
