Low salaries for the work, understaffed

Manager (Current Employee) Los Angeles, CA

ProsHigh status university, beautiful campus, some cool people, great weather, many cool things going on, good academic programs, enthusiastic sports program, many different places to work on campus, huge (two campuses - also a con), commitment to being a great university

ConsLow salaries for the work, everyone crying poverty, low status of staff, long hours for limited pay, very understaffed, no access to decision makers, low morale, limited career opportunities, huge, two campuses, no work-life balance (this may depend on the department you work for), staff are an afterthought and not valued,

Advice to Senior ManagementSome departments are woefully understaffed - this might seem smart, but can really be a false economy

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
