Pros

High status university, beautiful campus, some cool people, great weather, many cool things going on, good academic programs, enthusiastic sports program, many different places to work on campus, huge (two campuses - also a con), commitment to being a great university

Cons

Low salaries for the work, everyone crying poverty, low status of staff, long hours for limited pay, very understaffed, no access to decision makers, low morale, limited career opportunities, huge, two campuses, no work-life balance (this may depend on the department you work for), staff are an afterthought and not valued,

Advice to Management

Some departments are woefully understaffed - this might seem smart, but can really be a false economy

    Pros

A place to work and learn, move forward and work with amazing people. Great benefits as well and the excitement of working in academia

    Cons

bureaucracy can be slow and politics come into play. But that seems to be the case everywhere.
