Pros

Great benefits, clean campus, lots of research resources available for people doing research. Lots of collaboration between groups and departments on research projects.

Cons

The bureaucracy is pretty inefficient, and I don't feel that university resources are allocated as well as they should be (lots of money for football buildings, not much money for renovation or upkeep of science buildings, waste disposal department, etc.). Some staff people are amazing and on top of their game, while others have no clue and make more work for everyone else.

Advice to Management

Ask the different departments what their most pressing needs are, and make a point to try to help them all out, rather than focusing on a handful of priorities.

    Pros

It has been a great learning experience so far. There are lots of great professors and a number of good courses. The campus being small might actually be an advantage since you all buildings are easily accessible. Some of the fellowships are really attractive and makes graduate life so much more better.

    Cons

Looks like they admit everybody for master's program, which dilutes the program. And lots of construction most of the time which is a bit of a havoc for the students.

    Advice to Management

Select better quality students, invest more in education.

    Pros

Huge organization with tons of positions (at all levels) and departments (on all subjects)

    Cons

So big that you can easily be replaced

    Advice to Management

Value the work that employees do, particularly when they go beyond the call of duty or perform beyond expectations
