I have been working at University of Southern California part-time (more than an year)

Pros

It is very convenient to work on campus while you take courses including in the Fall and the Spring semester. The Jobs are fairly well paying too.

Cons

Though the location is 'near' downtown Los Angeles, be warned that USC is located in perhaps one of the most pathetic parts of the city. Security can be an issue at times. Not so much if you follow the instructions of the officials.

    Pros

The study and work atmosphere at USC is nice. People are open-minded and willing to share ideas. Colleagues are friendly and helpful. The wonderful climate is also a plus.

    Cons

The neighborhood around the University Park Campus is not that good. But the good news is that USC has already been working on the safety issue around the campus.

  2.
