I worked at University of Southern California part-time (less than a year)

Pros

Coworkers are nice, friendly, and interesting. It's fun to help fellow students and to get to know professors better. Loved the freedom of designing review sessions the way I would have liked them to be taught.

Cons

I went for many weeks without a paycheck because management was being restructured. I got paid eventually but not without a lot of work on my part.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at University of Southern California part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

You can do your homework while on the job. The hours are convenient if you have work-study. If you don't have work-study then you're stuck with the graveyard shift or weekends. While shelving books you can use earbuds. There's lots of job security and your salary increases each semester.

    Cons

Sometimes you have to actually do work, you don't get to do homework the entire time. Also, the pay is mediocre. You start off at $8/hour and you can gradually increase your salary but not by much. I don't know if you can really advance your career or anything.
