Pros

UT Austin is a great place. The people are nice and the department I worked in was wonderful.

Cons

Depending on how you get paid as a graduate student, you might or might now have health insurance paid for by your lab.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Many of the PIs are wonderful, but be sure to pick one who you can work with long term.

    Higher paying departments are usually the ones with the highest workload and ridiculous expectations for GTA's
