Pros

Great work environment, great mentality, and a fantastic staff. Supervisors are understanding and a good support group. It's easy to make friends and you can easily be your true self around the staff.

Cons

Some days are long; wake up early and sleep late. During the summer it gets really hot. Parents can be a hassle at times. However the pro's of this job far out-weigh the cons.

    Pros

UT Austin is a great place. The people are nice and the department I worked in was wonderful.

    Cons

Depending on how you get paid as a graduate student, you might or might now have health insurance paid for by your lab.

    Advice to Management

Many of the PIs are wonderful, but be sure to pick one who you can work with long term.
