Pros

Friendly people to work with, nice location, good equipment, very clean, knowledgeable staff, good pay, all in all there is no better place to work for in the education field than the University of Utah

Cons

There is almost no guarantee that you will have class to teach in the coming semester. The quantity of class distributed can be random and unfair.

The management is extremely qualified and friendly. A pleasure to work with every day. Code reviews were always top notch as well as the atmosphere with co-workers was always positive because we loved our jobs.

Some of the clients you work for aren't as clear and concise as you would hope with your software requirements.

Current Employee - Coordinator in Salt Lake City, UT

    Pros

Great benefits, good work/life balance, cool environment, flexible schedule, management is typically supportive of employees continuing their education or obtaining advanced degrees.

    Cons

Little opportunity for advancement, compensation is driven more by time with the organization than by skill or contributions. Some departments pay better than others, but in general salary will be less than a similar position in the private sector.
