I have been working at University of Utah as a contractor for more than 3 years

Pros

Friendly people to work with, nice location, good equipment, very clean, knowledgeable staff, good pay, all in all there is no better place to work for in the education field than the University of Utah

Cons

There is almost no guarantee that you will have class to teach in the coming semester. The quantity of class distributed can be random and unfair.

I have been working at University of Utah as an intern for more than a year

    Pros

The management is extremely qualified and friendly. A pleasure to work with every day. Code reviews were always top notch as well as the atmosphere with co-workers was always positive because we loved our jobs.

    Cons

Some of the clients you work for aren't as clear and concise as you would hope with your software requirements.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great work. This was the best internship I could have ever hoped for.

I worked at University of Utah full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I worked as a teacher's assistant while in graduate school, which can be an intimidating position, but the U always treated us just like other faculty members. We had access to all the faculty services they offered, and they also developed workshops just for us, to help us develop our teaching skills.

    Cons

Work/life balance can be tough to manage, but give it some time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be sure to maintain programs for teacher's assistants--they are a great resource!
