I have been working at University of Utah full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

This place a good work environment. It is very supportive for research. I was able to set my own schedule, which was very nice.

Cons

I have been here for six years and have not been paid very well. The pay is competitive, but not easy to live off of. It's difficult to graduate and move on if everything doesn't go exactly as needed.

I worked at University of Utah as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

UROP application isn't too hard, and nearly all are granted funding. The people you work with are great. Overall a good program and experience.

    Cons

Have to stay on top of the time sheets. Must be self motivated and get things done and turned in. There isn't anybody there to baby you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just keep helping the kids meet the deadlines. Maybe send out reminder emails before the day the time sheets are due.
