I worked at University of Vermont

Pros

Good and convenient place to work for students. Staff is generally nice. Depending on position, there are lots of opportunities to meet other students. Laid back atmosphere. Some jobs allow workers to listen to music.

Cons

The pay is not good (which is probably expected). Not much room for advancement.

    Pros

Excellent benefits package. Good communication among team and management.

    Cons

We get lower salary compared to the market but that's because we get a lot more through benefits (free tuition, 403b contribution, etc)

I worked at University of Vermont

    Pros

Benefits and free tuition. The University of Vermont has a great attitude towards going "green". I think that eventually UVM will become one of the Most Desired Schools to go to in the New England region. The people that the University of Vermont employs are diversed. I believe the trend for the University is to increase diversity to its staff, faculty, and students. This includes minorities and gays and lesbians.

    Cons

Low wages and parking is a HUGE issue. A lot of the students have a hard time finding parking spots and tend to take up spots in the faculty lots. It is an ongoing battle to find adequate parking at the University of Vermont.
