Great Learning Opportunities
Great opportunities for leadership

Cons

Often times there are sporadic Hours.
There can be a bit of bureaucracy within the department.

I worked at University of Victoria

    Pros

Healthy work-lief balance, easy to get funding for tools and equipment, casual atmosphere, very nice campus, lots of vacation time.

    Cons

Lower end of the pay scale. A ton of meetings - it's easy to spend more time in meetings than getting work done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tech talent needs to be compensated better to retain staff. Technical staff would be better served by having technical managers.
