I worked at University of Virginia full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

UVA has great resources partly because of a dedicated alumni base. I worked with really wonderful people who valued teamwork, and my boss at UVA was the best boss I ever had or will ever have.

    Cons

The department I worked for wasn't well funded. Upper-level leadership was going through some growing pains. There was a poor work/life balance due to upper-level leadership.
