I worked at University of Washington part-time for more than a year

Pros

The salary was reasonable, the health benefits were fantastic, and the tuition waivers kept me from taking on A LOT of debt. Everyone I worked with in getting the position was easy to work with and there was plenty of feedback.

Cons

The hours were pretty sporadic term to term. Also, they are pretty competitive which means being unsure every term (if you are not granted a year long position).

I have been working at University of Washington full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

good benefits, pretty good job security, nice people

    Cons

Hierarchical, if you don't at least have a Master's degree be happy being the peon. Salaries are not competitive with the surrounding area, lots of people with too much to do, lots with not enough.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

People with only B.A.'s and lots of on-the-job and life experiences have ideas too.
