I have been working at University of Washington full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Potentially stimulating environment. Pretty campus. Access to libraries, art galleries, athletic center. Some work can be considered valuable to the common good.

Cons

It's a giant public university, so obviously there are a lot of rules/regulations and general "big company" slowness and resistance to change that usually happen.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up what you are doing. Working with so many students who are constantly graduating can't be easy.

I worked at University of Washington as a contractor (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I worked in the HFS department of UW for 3 years in a few different positions. Overall it was a great experience with fantastic mentors for someone just entering the workplace. There were lots of opportunities to grow and take on more responsibility as well as a very flexible schedule for a student.

    Cons

It's a giant public university, so obviously there are a lot of rules/regulations and general "big company" slowness and resistance to change that usually happen.
