Pros

Good benefits, freindly people, world class serivice.

Cons

Poor recognition of job well done, stagnet salaries, unfair raise system.

Advice to Management

pay more to people who actually know what they are doing instead of mangers friends. no more double standard for workers in same postion doing less work becasue they are friends of teh manager. the training could use a lot more meat to it. the parking should be subsidised according to salary, those who make more should pay more.

    Pros

Extremely positive working environment. Respectful coworkers who work as a team to put patient care first. There is an emphasis on universal precautions, improving infection control measures an.

    Cons

Parking is expensive, and can be far away from clinical buildings in some locations. Outside parking can present a problem in the winter because of snow and ice accumulations on cars.
Management in the mid 1990s was greedy and kept nursing understaffed to cut costs. This is not a problem now. Excellent CEO emeritus and new CEO, Donna Bahensky working to maintain a positive working environment.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing.

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits, at least until they get cut now that there's no union to stop them.

    Cons

Incompetent, career-climbing management, at least a third of the doctors don't speak their patients' language, A LOT of the time patient allergies don't even make it into their chart (it's the "not my job" mentality), long on image, short on substance. Had a friend who had a family member there this past year and mentioned how dirty it was, the fact that they were seen by someone who admitted they hadn't worked in that particular field for a long time. Recently required to get the flu shot waiver signed by the doctor, requiring an appointment for which I will undoubtedly be charged since it's not a medical problem (THANKS!) just so the numbers look good (THANKS AGAIN!). A horrid little meatgrinder of an institution. If you can possibly get a job somewhere else, please do.

    Advice to Management

    Go to China.
