I have been working at University of the Pacific full-time

    Pros

The campus is beautiful and the benefits are pretty decent. The retirement plan is EXCELLENT. Working on a university campus can be exciting and ever-changing.

    Cons

The salary for an admin is very low. There is a larger-than-normal income disparity between support staff and senior staff.

I have been working at University of the Pacific

    Pros

The pay is fair, even excessive for some positions. Management is friendly and approachable. Schedules are very flexible as well, especially if it conflicts with your academics. Summer housing staff is provided with free housing for the summer.

    Cons

Poor communication between management and employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Praise and reward hard work more often. Communicate with your employees regarding the normal procedures and how to handle day-to-day operations.
