    I worked at Uno Restaurants

    Pros

You make a ton of friends and have a lot of fun at work. Yearly raises were good. There were a lot of opportunities to move up. There is a lot of store loyalty, so you can move around between locations and pretty much work where you want in whichever position you want once you get a couple years of experience.

    Cons

Managers switch stores too often, so you would start with a great manager who would inevitably end up moving to another store and leave you with a terrible replacement. Pay isn't as good as at a more classy restaurant.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

While it is great for the regional managers to come into the restaurants and try to make improvements, they could try to reward stores for what they've done well rather than just criticizing them for the mistakes they've made or the areas where they need improvement.

    I worked at Uno Restaurants

    Pros

At the end of the day, the money you make is all dependent upon you. Maybe you don't get the greatest section of tables, but if you treat the guests at the tables you have very well -- I'd say 8 times out of 10, you'll get a great tip.

    Cons

At the location I worked, the management team was very poor.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicating to staff members about their performance would be highly beneficial. If an employee knows where they stand in the minds of management, they know whether they need to step it up or if they're doing just fine. Staff should not be left to wonder or assume what the management thinks of them based upon the tables and shifts they are assigned. In the end, positive feedback will foster positive performance.
