Pros

- 40% off of clothing (the ultimate PRO)
- somewhat flexible if you give them you're availability

Asked questions like: why Urban; situation with customer example of how you would handle it. Often retail interviews are quite similar. Just dress like an UO employee would dress, wear something non revealing but in tune with their clothing. Know atleast three of the brands they sell, and be able to tell them something in detail about one of them. They asked me who my favorite designer was, and I was able to mention one of the founders of the brands they carry. Just do a 10 minute google search and you should be fine!

Cons

- management is very strict and pretty mean
- scrutinize you're ability to do all tasks
- expect a lot fast
- search you multiple times on shift, especially if closing
- closing takes about 2 hours post door locking

    Pros

Cool office environment, relaxed dress code, bring your dog to work, good health benefits.

    Cons

Too many to list but for starters LOW salaries. It seems they feel because you work for them and they are such a cool company you should feel privileged and therefore they can pay you less due to that fact. It is very clicky!!!! If you don't kiss ass or make your coworkers your friends outside of work you will not move up. There is no HR department , to minimize complaints. Salary, bonuses, review structuring is very secretive and they do special favors for special people. There is no communication between department managers and upper level management, so if you get a horrible boss like me there is nothing you can do about it. Maternity compensation is pathetic. No tuition reimbursement. The list goes on but there's a glimpse.

    Advice to Management

If you stopped socializing at work and focused on making your employees happy, because surprisingly most employees are really dedicated and hard working despite all the crap, I think the company could excel so much more and you could actually utiliZe the telnet you have instead of keeping stagnant because managers are under qualified.

    Cons

Inconsistent hours and no desire to grow within the company (at least as an in-store employee)
