I have been working at Urban Outfitters part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-The friends I've made at my store are going to last a lifetime -When it's a busy day and there is more interaction with people, it can be a lot of fun in general -No dress code! -Good playlists -Discount -Good for college students looking for some extra money

    Cons

Unpredictable hours- if you are on good terms with management, you can get up to 30 hours a week (very rarely) as a sales associate, but if you fall out of their favorite list, you are back down to 15 if you're lucky. -on call shifts -favoritism -the job is really really boring -sometimes you get scheduled to be in a greeting position for 4-5 hours straight and it makes you question your sanity and work ethic -no chance to move up in the company or get a raise -low pay

    Advice to Management

Treat your sales associates as an equal part of your team, not as disposable employees.
