Depends on your advisor

Logan, UT

Current Employee – been working at Utah State University full-time for more than 3 years

ProsWork schedule can be flexible depending on your advisor and deadlines. I have heard PhD students graduate with few publications. So that means their schedule is probably pretty loose. Cost of living is cheap so that's always a plus.

Conscan be hectic sometimes and stressfull. My advisor is still working for his tenure so we keep pushing out papers. Last year (2012) I had submitted 6-10 papers to different conferences. Also, winter sometimes can be very bad.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe sure graduate students are treated well and have and have an avenue to air out their concerns.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
