“Pretty Good so far...”
Current Employee – been working at VMware full-time for more than a year
Pros – - good salary and benefits, campus
- pretty interesting work trying to bring something unique to the marketplace
- recent reorg finally brought much needed focus and clarity on what the company wants to be
Cons – - some bad decisions leading to massive wasted engineering efforts
- no uniform process followed across teams
- slowly losing some of its shine
- politics
Advice to Senior Management – Customer focus is what made vmware great. Off late, some of the decisions are not totally aligned with customer needs leading to wasted efforts. Please bring laser like customer focus to all the project decisions.
