It's better than being unemployed.

Cons

Exec staff cares nothing about the employees. Bennies are cut right and left.
Lack of coherent product and corporate marketing efforts.
For a company with 6000 employees, there's an overabundance of Director/Sr. Director/VP/Exec VP types. There are Directors reporting to Directors.

Advice to Senior Management

Instead of trying to differentiate yourself from Microsoft, you have become Microsoft in culture.
As soon as this recession ends, you will leak talent like a sieve.
