I have been working at VW Credit full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

As employees we are fairly treated, it's a fun environment, and a great place to work for. The compensation is good for what you do.

    Cons

The downsides are the lack of oversight of the management. If you have a personality conflict with a manager it's very difficult to over come.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not every position for advancement needs to have a college degree and the over reliance on such means that sometimes a good fit for a position is passed over for an adequate fit.

I worked at VW Credit as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

    Company being profitable overall
    Somewhat flexible hours

    Cons

Unpleasant work environment with lots of dirty and butt-kissing politics
    Lots of silos
    Consultants are not treated professionally
No privacy with a middle school type of seating arrangement
    Unrealistic expectations from the consultants

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Break silos and start communicating with all levels of employees/consultants.
Highlight and acknowledge the people who are hard working and willing to take responsibility
Reward people based on their skill set and results
