Pros

It's a job.
Monday through Friday work schedule. No weekends. No nights, latest shift ends at 7 PM.
Free coffee. Lots of food. Cook outs, potlucks, birthday feasts.
Some co-workers are OK.
They seem to always be hiring. (lots of turnover) Can be a pro and con.
Don't have to take work home with you.
The job itself can help improve computer skills, customer service skills, patience, and developing a thick skin.

Cons

Stressful.
Confusing/complex issues come up all the time.
Customers are rude, call in angry/upset. (typical of customer service, I know)
Boring, pretty much do same stuff everyday. Repetitive. Monotonus.
Some supervisors are somewhat clueless and some are unapproachable. They don't seem to want to help you.
Pretty much no way to advance. It's a paycheck. Nothing more. You might be able to get into sales.
Lots and lots of turnover. Seems like there is a new training class every other month or so. Not kidding, but most call centers have high turnover in general.
Pretty much chained to your desk for 8 hours.
Metrics can be unfair/unreasonable.
Lots of changes, especially since transitioning over to SAP.
Overall, very confusing ways of doing things and completing tasks.
Lots of issues in general. Orders picked wrong, warehouse seems to send incorrect items to customers and then having to complete returns/credits which is not fun.
Office gossip, catty women, some unfriendly co-workers.
Sales reps can be a pain to deal with.

    Pros

Many locations worldwide, many different types of jobs

    Cons

Below average pay and benefits, poor management. Difficult to get HR support, payroll support etc. IT call center is outsourced offshore, much to the dismay of all. Too many one off, non integrated applications. Training was non existent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out to your remote locations and open your eyes.

    Pros

The job was convenient, in my career field and close to my home. Initially appeared to have the support of management.

    Cons

Soon after beginning to work there, I realized that the support from upper management was minimal and we were just left in a situation that was destined to go no where.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be supportive of remote employees
