Pros

Big company where you can hide among the thousands of people who do nothing but schedule conference calls and send e-mail.

Cons

Thousands of people who do nothing but schedule conference calls and send e-mails. Technology is way behind. Outsourced customer service, sales support, IT Support and everything else to India and it's not working. Negative environment. High pressure. Too complex of an environment to actually accomplish anything. Frustrating place to work on a daily basis.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The direction and current culture is not sustainable and it's getting worse by the day.

I have been working at VWR International full-time

    Pros

5 star facility with perks like a gym and free fruit. Very nice people who are very helpful.

    Cons

Very worried about the future as essentially all executive officers have been let go or resigned in the past two years

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

HELP. Figure out how to run the business so the strategy doesn't change every half decade

It appears that VWR has lost their competitive edge and is losing market share.

    I worked at VWR International

    Pros

    Great facility.
Lots of opportunity if you work hard.

    Cons

Work / Life balance is up to the individual to enforce.
    Executive management isn't effective.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on smaller number of objectives coordinated across the company and complete them. Stop allowing distractions so that teams can "focus and finish".
