I have been working at Vail Resorts part-time for more than a year

Pros

Good benefits you can get pro deals on a vast selection of merchandise-its almost addicting. Learned a lot about the outdoor industry and various sales techniques

Cons

Poor compensation. Commission is really skewed and favors dishonest work ethic. It incentives deception and not actually helping the consumer but rather just having them remember your name through the means of using nonsensical, unfair tactics.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

increase wages and reform the commission system.

    Pros

friendly people, mountain town, work life balance was good

    Cons

No real cons other than some co-workers weren't reliable. That's just the nature of who you get when you hire for that job. I would never hesitate to tell someone to go if they love the mountains
