Former Employee - Vacation Coordinator  in  Keystone, CO
Former Employee - Vacation Coordinator in Keystone, CO

I worked at Vail Resorts full-time for less than a year

Pros

Fun people to work with, great training, fantastic perks

Cons

Minimal benefits for seasonal workers, party atmosphere is not for everyone, low pay

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sometimes our service was not great because employees were so inexperienced. If you give workers more incentive to stay on more than a couple seasons, the quality of customer service would increase drastically and mistakes would be much lower.

I have been working at Vail Resorts part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Awesome job for the summer, down time nice (dial-a-ride), reasonable pay for work, great people (coworkers & guests), consistent

    Cons

Upward movement difficult. Regular shifts (fixed-route) get tedious fast.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Manage/ prepare for transitions better through rewards, mentorship, recognition, compensation, and rotational training. Identify champions and early adapters and utilize. Take employees suggestions seriously
