I have been working at Vail Resorts full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The adventure, the opportunities, work-life balance. The fact that one can maintain a professional career and advancement while living in the mountains and never worrying about my daily commute.

    Cons

Compensation overall may be in-line with the ski industry, however, for professional positions it falls short. Dilapidated facilities in California.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase wages accross the board; focus on professional level roles to decrease turnover.

I have been working at Vail Resorts full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I loved being able to work with kids and adults. It was fun to see them learn and succeed. They pay you for waiting to receive a class even if you don't end up working. They have great training courses. Also, they have great discounts!

    Cons

If you are injured on the job, they only give you minimum hours for workers comp. They also are very overpriced with food and beverages.
