Valassis – “Never do an internship at Valassis”

I did an internship with Valasiss and it was one of the worst experiences as a student that I ever had. The company had no outline for training just threw me in and expected me to know everyone and everything and there were no duties for me to do except organize shelves. I took on an internship to learn about the field I was studying and not spend my days sitting at a desk and staring at the four walls while the cliques, that are so prominent in this organization, sat around with their noses in the air when you asked them anything. I would never let my child come from another state and do an internship at Valassis. They pride themselves on how great their internship program was and it was the biggest joke!

Advice to Senior Management

If you are looking to recruit new talent via your internship program you need to highly reconsider your internship program and what value and views your interns are getting, mine was horrible and I wouldnt recommend it to my worst enemy.
