I have been working at ValueClick full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

+ Great culture: casual, fun, work/life balance, open door policy, open to new ideas, etc.
+ CEO is very approachable: his door is always open, walks around the office regularly and seems to care about good employees.
+ People: smart, young, driven, fun.

Cons

- Westlake Village office: needs remodeling. Looks boring and very corporate which is not a match with company culture.
- Tuition reimbursement: they don't have one in place and they should.
- Better synergy among businesses

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Jim, I believe the company is taking the right direction but believe there could be a better synergy and collaboration among the different businesses. Also, the Presidents could do a better job communicating your strategy to their teams.

    Pros

overall good health benefits, that's it

    Cons

This company makes money simply by having their servers up and running, there is no incentive to come up with new ideas, just fix bugs and fine tune the code. This company is not a leader, but a follower. Management enjoys company sponsored trips while employees are not receiving raises. Overall, a 'big boys club'. Turn around in development is terrible

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Jim, make sure your software management team spends some time with the employees rather than playing world of Warcraft or poker

I have been working at ValueClick

    Pros

Approachable management and a comfortable work environment. Location is central to many nice restaurants and the such. The work isn't amazing, but it isn't bad by any means as well.

    Cons

The pay could be higher, but as said before isn't the worst in the industry. The break room could be a little better furnished.
