I have been working at Vanderbilt University full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Collaborations are abundant. The city is beautiful and the people are very nice. The engineering school is top 50 in the nation (with some departments cracking the top 10).

Cons

As a graduate student, the insurance benefits are minimal and the university has a lot of fee's for taking classes. Parking is also quite expensive.

I worked at Vanderbilt University as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Professional, cutting edge, stable company (less stress)

    Cons

Lots of different departments, often in different buildings. Some jobs require interdependence, which can be hard in such a large and often chaotic (when working with patients) work environment.
