    Pros

    Decent salary and benefits. Advancement opportunities

    Cons

    The continual "how do we cut headcount" mantra. Offshoring of jobs that only makes our job harder. The politics of Incident management. Management decisions by Exec Leadership made based on how it may impact their annual bonus instead of what is the right thing to do.

    Advice to Management

    Provide your managers with the flexibility to hire the number of people they need. No should not be the default answer from upper management with regard to staffing increase requests. Take the time to actually know what a group does before you fire them all and toss their duties over the wall to another group.
