A lot of opportunity for growth. Excellent corporate culture and respect for employees. Motivation to contribute and work, since their products advance Oncology treatment.

Cons

Poor infrastructure. No young hires.

    I have been working at Varian Medical Systems full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Regardless of nationality and study background, anyone has chances to grow and acquire good skills as long as they are dedicated to their jobs and have motivations to bring profits to company.

    Cons

    Th company tends to evaluate people making profits by selling systems and/or acquiring contracts.
    However people making an effort to reduce expenses have not received deserved evaluation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I have never felt the barrier to contact teams in other countries.
    That is good thing in terms of good communication worldwide.
    However the easy-to-communicate situation bring another conflicting issues in terms of different business cultures.
    A team is less motivated due to weaken currency and economy while they are doing the same job with people living in the other countries, having good economy.
    An another team is less evaluated due to lower profits but they should be evaluated because, in the country, managing product quality is the most important and the local business can fail without their quality management.
    However as the quality control cannot make any short-term profits to the company, the team is not fully evaluated.

    Top management team should understand that teams in different countries should be evaluated with both the local and global manner.
