Vector Marketing – “Total scam!”

If they had you (or even asked you) to purchase your own kit then that manager is acting outside of official Vector Marketing policy. As of a year or two ago a company-wide policy change was enforced making the kit free to employees. Even before that, you never should have been made to purchase it-they used to ask for a security deposit because they were loaning you several hundred dollars of products and they wanted to ensure that if you quit or were terminated and kept the supplies, they wouldn't get totally screwed over. If this was in the past year, it was ABSOLUTELY wrong that you had to give them ANY money and you should contact corporate immediately, the manager was acting in a highly illegal way and should be dealt with. If it was before that and you returned your supply kit but did not receive you security deposit back, you should still absolutely contact corporate. Also regarding the extremely long wait your client had....that means the manager possibly didn't send in the paperwork right away. This can be a great company (not for everybody, but what job is?) But unfortunately their rapid promotions are a double edged sword....it leads to some managers that are not qualified to run an office and try to take advantage of people, and that is WRONG. Please, don't let that jerk screw over more people, and ruin the company's image. There are literally hundreds of successful, great offices around the country and unfortunately every now and then you get a manager that tries to take advantage of people. As a former recruiter for vector, I know firsthand that the only way to combat those people is to REPORT them, not to complain to everybody about how the whole company and the thousands and thousands of happy, successful employees are running a scam.
