Pros – - I view it as an amazing college internship opportunity. I was able to graduate and immediately find a management role with a mid sized company.
- very flexible schedule
- extremely fast career advancement if you excel
- real world communication and sales training (hard-core sales where the majority would have never bought the product without you)
- Great leaders and people who genuinely want to help you become a better person (like any organization, there are some amazing people, and some who aren't)
Cons – - Can be very frustrating financially. Majority of the people working here would have been able to make more elsewhere.
- Large time commitment to events that are unpaid (but keep in mind the knowledge gained).
- Financial commitment to events as well.
- Every sale requires serious effort. Even for those who finally get the ball rolling, there is no residual income, unlike many other products sold.
- For the majority who stick with the company, consistent and larger paychecks will only be seen once you manage an office. All other managers within an office are not paid very well if they do not also sell.
