Pros

If your are still in school and looking for some extra cash its an ok option if you don't mind going to stranger's houses and trying to sell expensive knifes.

Cons

not realistic at all. They expect you to gain this network of people who want to buy these knifes from you but in reality the knives are super expensive and your pretty much putting on a show at people's houses.

Advice to Management

be honest in the interview process

    Pros

The pay is good. $9 and hour

    Cons

Everything!! They pay you from a personal check and take out weird amounts for "tax". Unprofessional. They only care about the amount of things you set/sell. If you don't meet their goal they'll fire you by a phone call either day of work or the day before. They said it themselves "people only last about 2 weeks here". Which is why they have receptionists call random people and lie to them to get them to come in and work.

    Advice to Management

Actually be professional and act like a manager. All the managers here just sit around and eat candy all day and stay on their phones listening to music with head phones in. Absolutely unprofessional. Even when employees asks them questions about their checks they never know the answer and keep passing the question around to different people.

  2. Overall, it is not worth your time working here.

I worked at Vector Marketing part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to learn some sales skills and meet with many people whom you would otherwise never see.

    Cons

Vector is as close to being a pyramid scheme as a company can get without actually being one. You are likely to actually lose money within the first few weeks simply by paying for the gas needed to drive all over the place. You don't get paid for training, even though a huge amount of training is required, and the company basically forces you to offer up your friends' numbers for recruitment. In the end, you probably end up making less than minimum wage. Plus, the job is not very rewarding in a non-financial sense, either; it doesn't make you feel like you're doing anybody any good.

    Advice to Management

Pay new recruits for the time they spend in training; be realistic with them about their prospects of actually making decent money off this job.
