Pros

Good compensation benefits & flexible work schedule. The managers were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the projects they were working to complete.

Cons

Dealing with labor union, the occasional working strike, and the occasional unproductive conference call. Otherwise there were very few that made working with Verizon unsatisfactory.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

At times the organizational level of small things like ID badges and communication amongst managers from other offices is a bit out of key. Otherwise in my experience the leadership I was witness to was very good.

    Great benefits and great people.

    Cons

    Sr mgmt not in touch with the customer base, thus decisions are made based on cash flow and not on customer retention. Company is moving to more off-shore customer-self-service.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop cutting the bottom line and start caring about customer satisfaction.

    Pros

    benefits, pay, coworkers, multiple functions = multiple career opportunities. multiple locations add flexibility in places to work; good opportunities if mobile and proactive about career including building key relationships

    Cons

    bureacracy, work life balance, political agendas vs doing what is best for the business, raises, advancement especially if outside of Basking Ridge

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    put the political agendas away; walk the talk; show care and concern for the employee. A satisfied happy employee is more productive than an unhappy employee
