I worked at Verizon full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

good benefits package, products sold are high tech new and very good value. I felt good about saying I worked there.

    Cons

tend to favor leagcy verizon folks over legacy "anything else acquired in mergers" employees. Also in the field, Union (CWA) employees were favored

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

stop offshoring, its not helping customer service

I worked at Verizon full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The pay and benefits were very good. Excellent training which prepares you for any kind of work environment.

    Cons

You are expected to work long hours which makes the pay seem negligible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care more about the stress placed on your managers. Employees don't mind working hard as long as they are adequately compensated and recognized. When you work your managers ridiculous hours the pay doesn't seem as good.
