    I worked at Verizon full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Lots of opportunity to grow the business and with the business. People are very open to switching over. I was able to get a lift year over year as a contract worker, working with them. Verizon is open to innovative sales people. Management is very professional.

    Cons

    They haven't hired externally for about 3 years. Mostly internal transfers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I have been working at Verizon full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    * Talented and considerate Managers, Directors and Executive Directors
    * Flexibility to telecommute.
    * Tremendous teammates and peers in the organization
    * World class name, products and services

    Cons

    * Complicated, cumbersome and outdated back office technology
    * Strong culture shift toward core Verizon and Verizon Wireless models is not always preferable
    * Organizational change,though needed, has had short term effect of making it more difficult to deliver.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    IT systems are still unable to support the reporting demands, turnaround times, and financial accuracy currently being demanded and need to catch up quickly.
