I worked at Verizon full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Profitable company with great benefits, 401(k).

    Cons

Lack of internal processes, i.e. having repostitory of past performance history, extremely painful process to generate quotes, proposals, etc.
Hires talent, but provides glaringly bad management, direction and effort to utilize talent correctly.
Politics and quota based hiring and promotion constantly elevate the weak.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Further refine (weed) out multiple layers management.
Understand the market - know the market -before entering the market.
Manage to strengths, versus accentuating weaknesses.
Relationship selling is key - learn how to embrace that mantra.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
