Pros

Great Company great benefits great pay

Cons

Higher to many uneducated people and push them to sell sell sell while making the goals unattainable. Also rewarding the people who are unethical which have given the company a bad name.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stay on top of people not showing up for work and not producing and also the people that are producing unethically.

Current Employee - Local Manager  in  Yaphank, NY
Current Employee - Local Manager in Yaphank, NY

I have been working at Verizon full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good Salary, good benefits (medical, dental) tuition reinbursement available if it suits business needs. 401K good. that's about it

    Cons

Toxic culture between management and union. Upper management lumps both the union and local management into one group. Declining business means less job security.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a longer view than the next quarter. Consider upgrading facilities to the 21st century to continue being the telecom leader you want to be. If you don't, you will be irrelevant.
