Pros

Great pay, benefits, perks, tuition assistance,

Cons

low moral, unrealistic sales quotas, no growth or advancement

Advice to Management

Create opportunities for employees to move into different positions and learn different aspects of the company. Boost the moral and encourage and motivate employees so you can get better results rather than make employees feel like they will get terminated for any little thing.

    Pros

Flexible work arrangements - telecommute etc. but policies may be changing. Large variety of IT projects and opportunity to learn telecom business. Support for training/learning is available.

    Cons

Many outdated technologies. Teams vary drastically in terms of support/opportunity. Outsourcing is killing innovation and efficiency. Senior leadership is too self-promoting. Seems to only hear their own message. Managers want to become "hands on" effective projects (where they aren't needed) instead of attaching to less effective projects.

    Advice to Management

Too many voices/contradictions on strategic priorities. Many aspects of Verizon IT seem over-managed.

    Pros

As an associate ,the benefits were excellent ,the pay was decent and the ability to increase weekly pay with overtime was often available

    Cons

There was growing and constant pressure from management with the objectives and focus changing often from customer service ,to productivity and back and forth. The company would often have a different set of adgendas for different groups of people. The was a growing level of favoritism displayed.

    Advice to Management

Develop better ways and processes in dealing with the non management workforce and not try to rule so harshly with iron fists...There are very high levels of unhappiness and counterproductive behaviors in the work place due to the way management deals with the workers.
