Pros

good benefits, job stability and solid people.

Cons

not a lot of room for growth however, if you are happy doing one thing or you've found your niche, it's a great company to settle into for a career.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would definitely recommend improving the communication channels between senior management and lower levels.

I have been working at Verizon full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. Decent tuition reimbursement.
Large company with plenty of technical position for lateral moves available.
Online courses available via company intranet.

    Cons

Office politics can make advancement difficult, and papers (degrees) seem to trump any amount of experience.
Often minimally staffed, making for an out of balance work/life.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More leadership opportunities need to be made available for those who wish to move towards management positions.
